FYNN, Norman Dick, F/O (80466, RAFVR) - No.10 Squadron - Distinguished Flying Cross - awarded as per London Gazette dated 17 August 1943. Born 21 November 1916 in Harare (formerly Salisbury), Zimbabwe. Airman 778736, commissioned 10 November 1942. Died in Eastern Cape, South Africa, 29 February 1980. Citation in AIR 2/4637 and AMB 11179.

Flying Officer Fynn, throughout a very successful tour of operational duty, has displayed cheerful confidence and a fine fighting spirit. Although he had to leave his aircraft by parachute on one occasion and has had several combats, his enthusiasm for operational flying has never waned. He has consistently set a high example of courage and efficiency.
