    Unfortunately, no cause of death given.

    World War II Index to Allied Airmen Roll of Honour, 1939-1945 states he was based at RAF Digby.
    Burgin died in Nottingham city hospital but there is no cause of death listed in his records it states " cause unknown ". I have not checked the ORB AIR28/201 for RAF Digby yet . The registers of death for the hospital may survive in Nottinghamshire archives under references SO/HO/23 . the alternative is the purchase of a death certificate
