    Hi Henk
Chappell,38, registered at Buckrose, E Yorkshire
    Fountain,23, registered at Biggleswade, Bedfordshire
    Huth, 25,registered at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Griffiths,20, registered at Cirencester,Gloucestershire, the right area to put him on one of the Oxfords that collided at S Cerney and the same area as Baker.
Dawes did not show on the register but CWGC has him as buried at Ramsey which is on the Isle of Man, an independant Island between Lancashire and N Ireland. If he died there he will not be on the England and Wales register
Ritz did not show on the register either but I note he was cremated in England
    Regards
    Dick

    Henk and Dick

CWGC has Dawes buries at Stiurbridge in the West Midlands not on the Isle of Man.

I am going nuts. Malcolm is right and I do not recall who I saw buried at Ramsey
    i must get out more
    Sorry Henk for being misleading
I really am nuts!! I found Dawes 21, registered at Plymouth, Devon, from my own handwriting I read the name as Davies and there is an E A Davies on CWGC buried at Ramsey which was my 2nd error because that is in Huntingdonshire. The town on the Isle of Man is spelt RAMSAY.
    Regards and Apologies

    Hello Henk,

    Need to revisit this posting.

    Re: Sgt (WOp/Ag) William J. HUTH - 1325768.

Huth was killed aboard 23 OTU Wellington IC T2844, on 26-10-1941. He is not listed by Bill Chorley in either BCL7OTU/82, or BCL9ROH.

There is also an error in the crew make-up. The Sgt T N D Boyd RCAF mentioned, is in fact, AUS402435 F/O Thompson Neville Digby BOYD RAAF.

I have notified Bill for his Amendments & Additions.

    Regards,
    Col.

Probably a silly question, but why all the posts for "unaccounted airmen"??

Henk has taken on the very challenging but ultimately worthwhile exercise (thank you Henk) of matching the death of each 'Commonweath' Allied Airman in the service to their aircraft (serial, sqn, service number etc) or cause....

He has already 'done' the Canadians (based on previous work by Les Allison and Harry Hayward), Errol on this site has 'done' the New Zealanders and I believe there are actions out there to do the Aussies.. So Henk is filling in the gaps...

The unaccounted bit means he does not know how said airman died and wants our help! when he has an anwer the airman moves from the unaccounted list to the accounted airman list!
