    Hello

Cpl Norman A. SAUNDERS - 909012 - the Staffordshire Advertiser of February 14th 1942 reported the following:

    AIRMAN'S FATAL INJURIES
An Air Force policeman's death through being knocked down by a motor-lorry as he was travelling from a weekend visit to his wife to whom he was newly married was described at an inquest at the Burtonwood Emergency Hospital on Friday. The deceased was Norman Alfred Saunders, and it was stated that he was walking alongside the footpath on the nearside of the Burton to Lichfield Road. A lorry driven by Thomas Lawrence, of Barnsley, collided with the rear of an Air Force lorry and then ran on to the footpath to knock the deceased down. He died the same day.

AC2 Frederick Uriah Cook JONES - Service Nº 1029526 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Fordingbridge, Ringwood Road, Fordingbridge, Hants.

    Regards

    Simon
