    Hi All

Just to add to the problem, all the following were registered in Chippenham: -

    BILTON, RICHARD LEWIS
    HARRIS, JACK DONALD DFC
    SALTER, PETER STANLEY AFC
    TRACEY, ANDREW NICHOLAS
    WAKELIN, PERCY FREDERICK
    WILSON, NORMAN GLADSWOOD

So could they all have been involved?

    Malcolm

Henk, regarding the Oxford AP598 I have the aircraft as crashing in the undershoot area. Crew not being seriously injured. Names of W Edmond and W H Griffith, sadly no ranks.

It seems likely that Griffith(s) is the same man as killed flying in Beaufighter X7698 which crashed near Pocklington, Yorkshire on 7th Nov 1942 and also who had force landed Beaufighter X7706 near Thirsk on 9th Aug 42. Both Beaufighter incidents being at 25 Sqdn.

    regards Rich
