    Default Unaccounted airmen - 31-7-1942

What were the places of death registration for:

    AC1 Sidney ANDREWS - 1528784 - 272 Sqn (sqn.numbering doubtful as this unit at that time was based at Idku, Egypt - AC1 Andrews lies buried Netherhampton [St.Katherina] Churchyard, Wiltshire);
    AC2 Leslie D. NEVILL - 1323148, and
AC1 Jack TURNER - 1064163 - 80 Wing, Aldenham Lodge Hotel, Radlett, Hertfordshire (Radia/radar Intelligence and Radio Counter Measures Work).

Couldn't find any of these names in Flight archives.

    Proposed aircraft losses:
Henley I - L3405 - 1 AACU - crashed in forced landing Hill Farm, Playford, Suffolk.
Tiger Moth II - T7685 - 4 Gp Comm Flt - crashed in forced landing 1 mile W of Shipton, Yorkshire.
Tiger Moth II - R5066 - 652 Sqn - crashed on overshoot Chantry Farm, Brinckley, Cambridgesgire.

Regards and thanks for your help.
    Henk.

    A/C.2 L. D. Neville KOAS Oct 8th 1942 magazine

Likewise I can't find anything on the other two men.

Andrews is Sidney Charles on CWGC. Just to note, Dick probably is working the death degisters now.

    Hi Henk
Andrews,21, registered at Ware, Hertfordshire as Dennis says he is Sidney C on CWGC
    Nevill,21,registered at Newton Abbott, Devon
Turner,27, registered at Barnet, Middlesex, actually part of N London
As Dennis said I was working on the register but slowly!! My old PC collapsed and I am still getting used to the new one and Windows Vista.
    Regards
    Dick

    Thanks all for your help.
Malcolm: looking for NEVILL (without 'e' at the end).
Rich: Sent PM through RAF Commands Board on mid-air collision Harvards (16 [P]SFTS) near Wroot, Yorkshire (seems to be in Lincolnshire ?) 16th March 1945.
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Henk

Mistake on my part, it is Nevill not Neville registered in Newton Abbott.
