Sgt (Nav) Denis H.C. GREY - 1053918 (from Irish Republic) - age 22, buried Wick Cemetery.

D - Proposed aircraft losses:
Master I - T8675 - RAFC - crashed on take-off Cranwell.
Oxford I - V4215 - 15 (P)AFU - dived into ground at night 2 miles W of Tholthorpe (already as a casualty on this a/c: Sgt C.J. STUART - RAAF 405779).
Oxford I - R6155 - 15 (P)AFU - flew into high ground Upsall, near Thirsk, Yorkshire.
Tiger Moth II - N9514 - 15 (P)EFTS - flew into ground 1 mile N of Waterbeck, Dumfries.

its been scanned as:

Grev;

And there is a Dennis Herbert .. Grey registered in Wick district of Caithness, Soctland sometime in 1942. The three christian names don't fit into the scotlands people search window,

I have Grey as a possible in Whitley VII, Z9518 having died from injuries sustained when this aircraft crashed on an overshoot at Wick two days previously.

No.15 EFTS recorded the following for their Tiger Moth.

August 5th 1942, “Sgt Mahon and LAC Tunshant involved in air crash. Neither seriously burnt. Sgt Mahon concussed. Plane burnt out. MO Flown to scene of crash.”

Henk, Oxford R6155 is an incident Im also keen to find information on. Hendon dont have the Am1180, and theres no mention of it in the ORB for this date. I would suggest that perhaps the date is recorded incorrectly. The location Ive got is on reasonably flat ground, which was moorland but is now wooded. There is a chance that the crew escaped serious injury.

The same ORB has V4215, Instr - Sgt H A Thewles RAAF, pupil pilot - Sgt C J Stuart RAAF, Wop - AC1 J Davies. all killed. At last some good info for you !!!

What is unusual about 405779 Sgt Clement John STUART RAAF, is the fact that his non-standard headstone (in Newton-upon-Ouse [All Saints] Churchyard), was erected by the parents of, 1450879 Sgt (Pilot) Henry Anderton THEWLES RAFVR.
