    Both Air Britain publications:
    Aircraft Serials W1000 - Z9999 (latest edition), and
    The Whitley File (edition 1986),
    have for Whitley Z9134:
    42 OTU - Collided with Oxford V3305 (sic - V3305 serial never used on any aircraft), Hougham, 4 miles NNW of Granthem, Lincs, "19"-11-1942. (What may have been "13"-11-1942, and incorrect in both Air Britain books).
    STONE may have been sole occupant/casualty on Oxford V3905.

    With regards to posts #20 and #21:

    Sgt (Obs) Bernard BAMFORD - 929138 and
    Sgt (Ag) Richard O. PARKER - 1338690 - their respective Grave registration Report Forms confirm their unit as 42 O.T.U. Also listed for the same unit on that date are:

    1292768 Sgt. John Mallett, however, is listed as being with 9 (O) A.F.U.

    LAC Albert F. BLOOMFIELD - 934667 - the Essex Newsman of Novemebr 21st 1942 carried the following announcement:

    BLOOMFIELD - on Nov. 13th at Chase Farm Hospital, Enfield, 934667 L.A.C. Albert Francis Bloomfield, youngest son of Mr. J. W. Bloomfield, of Woodham Walter, aged 22 years.

    AC1 James E.M. FRY - 1417394 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at the Emergency Hospital, Black Notley, Braintree, Essex.

    AC1 Frederick W. THORNTON - 1266155 - the Banbury Advertiser of December 16th 1942 reported the following:

    INQUEST ON AIRMAN
    A verdict of "Accidental death" was recorded by the Borough Coroner (Dr. J. Rickards) at the resumed inquest on Tuesday on AC1 Frederick William Thornton, R.A.F., who died on November 13th from injuries received in a collision at Croughton.
