155 Sqn (Agartala, India) lost Mohawks BT471 and BT472 14-1-1943 in a collision (control lost in cloud) at Borcapur. At least one of the airmen, F/Sgt (Pilot) Adam D.S. BOULT - 1078250, was killed and lies buried in the Maynamati War Cem., Bangladesh.
Was he on BT471 or BT472 and who was the other pilot involved ?
Regards and thanks for your help.
Henk.
FROM GEOFF SULLIVAN SERACH ENGINE THERE IS 155 SQN
F/SGT George B Potter 785062

Mind you, F/Sgt G B potter is listed KIA in the RAF Cas lists. Boult is not in the same list, i can't find him listed at this time.

Henk,
Re: Boult and Potter. Recommend you take a look at; For Your Tomorrow, Vol.Two. pp.51-2.

Thanks Dennis & Col. Text as mentioned in my msg # 5 came from Air Britain BA100-BZ999 (latest edition). I had AX893 and POTTER on file. Perhaps Errol could add some more info to the accident.
Regards,
Henk.
Henk,
The most up-to-date account that I have, is as follows:
Thursday, 14 January 1943.
On the day on which 11 Squadron commenced operations in the area, two Mohawks were lost when escorting other Blenheims to Magwe. En route Flt Sgt G.B. Potter (BT471) and Sgt A.D.S. Boult (BT472) of 155 Squadron collided and crashed to their deaths.
See:

p.50
Gerry Beauchamp, in his 'Mohawks Over Burma', gives an account of this incident. He quotes the wrong date (11-1-1943) and much of the rest of the information is conflicting. It is best disregarded.
Col.
Thanks Col. Asked Errol by PM for comment.
Regards,
Henk.
